The purpose of this lightweight utility is to monitor your IP address and to execute an action when it changes. ThorroldFox IP Monitor is absolutely free. It doesn't need to be installed, so you only need to extract a file and run it. What's more, the application is written in Java, so you can run it on any operating system that supports Java.

The application's compact user interface displays your current IP address, an events log, as well as the log's location on the disk. The File and Monitor menus, on the top edge of the window, contain options for enabling or disabling the monitoring feature and for displaying the application's general settings panel.

The main settings panel consists of three tabs, on which you can set up an automatic action, make a few update settings for the monitoring feature and set up automated alerts. The application will carry out an action through a user-defined executable or through a script command.

You can set the application to check for IP changes every few minutes, hours or days. Additionally, you can set a default number of retry attempts and an update timeout. Besides IP changes, the application can have other triggers for sending alerts. You can be notified by email if the application fails to detect an IP or if it detects an invalid IP.
